Abel Salazar House Museum

Abel de Lima Salazar was born in 1989, Guimarães. In addition to teaching at the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Porto and working as a researcher, he also produced a large body of artistic work. The Abel Salazar house museum, located in São Mamede de Infesta, is part of the heritage of the University of Porto, donated to this institution by the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation in 1975. Since then, the House museum has been open to the public, actively working with the academic community, and with local, national and international institutions of cultural interest.

In addition to the permanent collection, there is a regular temporary exhibition programme, in which established and emerging contemporary artists participate.
